An update

Well it has been months since I posted a blog entry…slack I know.  A lot has happened though including a job change – I am now Director of Bands at Newington College.  I’ve also completed the first full draft of my Doctorate thesis and released our second Album with Compass.  So all in all, a busy few months.

On other matters, I am going to start posting resources for other musicians and educators and so stay tuned.  For other band conductors out there be sure to check out my good friend, Paul Vicker’s, blog http://bandnerdfromoz.blogspot.com.au/

So away we go, exciting times ahead!!

Luke

Ode to an Auto Rickshaw to be released on Saturday October 29!

I can’t wait to launch my latest recording with the Compass Saxophone Quartet.  We have now sent the mastered cd off to the printers and we are all very proud of this album. It builds on the eclecticism of the first Tango project with fantastic compositions by Jeremy Rose and Sandy Evans and amazing collaborations with two amazing Indian musicians – Bobby Singh (Tabla) and Sarangan Sriranganathan (vocals and sitar).

The album release concert details are below and you can also pre-order the album by clicking below or visiting our shop page - http://compassquartet.com/shop
